maureen-bradleyWriter/director Maureen Bradley‘s debut feature film Two 4 One is a bittersweet romantic comedy following a transgender man’s unexpected pregnancy.

Featuring one of the first trans romantic leads in film, an all-Canadian cast, and shot in Victoria, BC, this film tells a universally moving story about love and the unexpected results of unusual circumstances. — Calgary International Film Festival

Maureen studied Communications and Media Studies at Concordia University. She abandoned a brief career as a bassist in the Montreal underground music scene after she received a VideoFACT music video production grant. After relocating to Vancouver, Maureen immersed herself in the artist-run-centre scene and returned to school to pursue and MFA in Film Production from UBC. Prior to joining the Writing Department at the University of Victoria in 2004, she was an Assistant Professor of Film Production at the University of Regina. In 2002, she became the first female director to join the Saskatchewan District Council of the Directors Guild of Canada. Maureen is a past the President of the Board of Directors of CineVic Society of Independent Filmmakers, Queer City Cinema, Video In and a previous Pacific Board Member of the Independent Media Arts Alliance of Canada. — maureenbradley.com

Two 4 One stars Gavin Crawford, Naomi Snieckus, Gabrielle Rose, Andrea Menard and Matt Baram and was awarded Best Canadian Feature at the Victoria Film Festival in 2014. It screens at Frameline in San Francisco on June 20, in Gibson, BC on June 26, at the Kansas City LGBT Film Festival on June 29th, at Outfest in Los Angeles on July 12 and in Toronto on July 17.
